Niloufar Sharifi Esfarani is a passionate Dutch winemaker with a unique story. At a young age, Niloufar started as a sommelier at the Rotterdam restaurant De Matroos en Het Meisje. But adventure was calling and after a few years, she decided to leave her career as a sommelier behind.

With her surfboard in hand, she traveled along the West coast of Europe, seeking new experiences. In the Médoc, France, Niloufar seized the opportunity to work on a vineyard. She helped with the harvest of a Dutch winemaker, just 25 minutes away from her favorite surf spot.

It was here that she realized her passion for wine extended far beyond her restaurant work — she wanted to create her own wines.
